Here are some tips to earn more from AdSense-
1. Research keywords-
Some keywords pay less then the others. Try to build website content according to the theme that would help the advertisers get a higher Return on investment.
2. Niche Sites-
Build an authority site for a particular niche. Until you have money to invest in a big project, it is better to have smaller sites rather than having one big website. It is easier to start making money from one site than to make lot of money from a big site.
3. Cross sell
Make your content purposeful and think about what type of advertisers would place ads on your site and how your visitors would be interested in buying their products or availing their services.
4. Increase traffic
This is one of the most important thing that many people overlook while working with Adsense. In many cases it is seen that sites with good traffic earn more than sites with less traffic. The earnings is not proportionate to the visitors from what is seen from other's experience.
5. Ad Placement on the page
Ads placed on the left middle section of the pages get more clicks rather than the ones which are placed in bottom.
6. Theme of your blog/website
The colors of the site is very important. Try to merge or contrast the advertisements so that it attracts attention. Simply put it is one of the most important things that can increase the CTR of the ads.
7. Scale up
So you have built one successful site that is earning you a descent amount of money? Why not rinse and repeat the process to multiply your earnings even more? This is how most people make a living on the internet. To make all the money through one single website is a difficult task and in many cases not possible.
8. Content and more content
Google likes more content and with quality. Hire people to write content for you if you can. This will help you in concentrating your efforts elsewhere to promote your site and increasing your earnings.
9. Do not cheat
Do not ever try to cheat the AdSense System. Joining click-exchange programs and other such things can get you banned quickly. This is not advisable in any case. The worst thing about getting banned is that once your account is banned you cannot create a new account with AdSense.
10. Do your work leave the rest on Google
Remember as a webmaster your job should be cater to the visitors of the website. Do not write an irrelevant articles in your site just because it contains a high paying AdSense keyword. It is not a very good practice and may not help you in the long run. AdSense is all on trust as it is based on PPC basis.
11. Change themes of your site
Test different themes and colors on your website. This may help you in exploring the best click through rates for your website. Though make sure that your CTR does not goes more than 10%. Upto 5% is a safe zone and does not risks your account to get banned.

What is CPC? CPC stands for “cost per click.” By displaying CPC ads with Google Adsense, you receive a set fee every time an ad on your website is clicked by a visitor. The cost per click is set by the advertiser. (This is in contrast to CPM ads, where you’re paid for ad views instead of clicks. CPM means “cost per thousand impressions,” where M is the roman numeral for 1,000.)
